Garden Update May 2011

My roses have started to really take off in the last few days. I am so excited because they are gorgeous! Tulips are my favorite flower but the bloming season is so short and roses are great because they have a much longer blooming season. I cut them back before the spring and now one of them has at least twenty five flowers that will be out this week!

My son has also been growing a plant of his own. His lima bean plant is doing terrific!

Beautiful...I have a red rose bush that has over 25 blooms left to bloom, I cut 12 that just were in bloom to dry to create a dried rose gift for my grandmother....I also have mini roses...purple, pink, yellow and white..and two victorian roses, one is a blush color and the other a creamy yellow...I love them...I have tons of daisies...and pansies I use for pressing...a mum, which I am getting more of...and dianthus which are the best, so vibrant and bloom so much and grow back every year...Enjoy.....

This is beautiful. I too am a fan of the tulip, but the knockout roses are pretty amazing! They're ALWAYS gorgeous, especially when I remember to trim them too!

they are gorgeous! Great job. I had roses years ago and they were very temperamental with me. =(

Oh how wonderful. I've never grown rose, but my youngest is in love with them and would like to put one in a pot on our balcony. Your son's bean looks like it's off to a great start.
